Anime Expo...and Hollywood

Last two weeks of June are going to be uber busy as I set up my website and come up with the last of my prints. I have an artist table up at anime expo with the following people:
I'll be around in July 3,4, and 5 selling prints and, uh, cats, and running around with a psychofish somewhere in the convention. Do stop by and say hi if you're going to be there. ^^

I wish AX was still in Anaheim (easier drive from my house, no downtown LA traffic from hell), but then again, this is the first time I'm looking forward to something other than the exhibition hall. Omg, people from Robot Chicken are going to be there...and then the premiere of The Batman Anime that's coming out very soon. Deviantart is also making a big presence at AX (as much as we hate to admit that anime/manga took over Da. But then again, Deviantart has offices in Hollywood)
I think its the sign of the times that Hollywood and Anime are starting to blend together and its not just Transformers and Speed Racer. Spielberg's planning for a "Ghost in the Shell" adaptation, Leonardo DiCaprio likes "Akira", M. Night Shyamalan wants to adapt "Airbender: The Last Avatar" and there's filming already about a bunch of people trying to retrieve some powerful balls. Dragon balls...

. One of her influences is Manga and she loves to draw the style but she draws on other inspirations such as movies, television and Rock to hybridize her work. Fictionwise, Psychobob is a rare live piece of sushi with big teeth infamous during Edo times who recently got caught and stuck in a fishbowl. There isn't a big story about this bright orange fish. He has many owners and has been to many places and he ends up landing in more than one story or project of mine. Psychobob is prone to chomping people, especially when poked. His diet is mainly sushi.
JACK (AKA SINES):
Jack Abner Sines is a twentyone year-old character who's in several stories I'm working on (Black Wednesday, some short stories, Suicide Kings) and used as an unintentionally emo RP character with Hooplabuga. He serves as a hitman apprentice of a federal program called "Project XYZ" during the late 1950's Cold War Era. Sines is a practical loner who shuns company, is sometimes paranoid, works alone, has no vices, and loves sleep and chocolate pie. Sines is clever, quick and resourceful on the job, but he doesn't admit there's a good honest heart inside him. Sines prefers to be called by last name basis.
JILLIAN
Jillian Harper is twenty six years old, cool, sly, drop dead gorgeous and is Sines' mentor in the XYZ program. Although she is in charge of Sines' safety, she's acts as double agent and serves another employee, a black market arms dealer. Jill knows how to play the cards, how to manipulate everyone to her advantage and carries out her hits with sheer brutality. A survivor through plenty of hardships, she views the world with a sense of dark humor and negativity. But the more she learns about Sines, the more she warms up and slowly changes her intentions. Jill is the only person who calls Sines "Jack".

A Question for Artists at Cons...

I have a question for artists who's gotten any artist alley tables before and sold prints at conventions. How many prints in total should a person bring to a big convention? There's usually more than 20k people at AX , and I'm planning 30 prints of each image I have in 2 sizes. I'm probably going to make more prints of images that are more popular in my gallery, and make less prints (some prints, it'll be 10 or twenty). The images will be whatever that's in my print store right now, and some new images. I've wanted to do some fanart but I still can't find a printer who'll do that.
Still waiting for DA and my print stuff to work. Its now a month left...

1957, Cold War.
Jack Abner Sines is 19 years old, a quiet loner and an educated misfit who’s not sure what to do with his future. His entire life changes once his estranged father is murdered in front of him and Jack is pushed into the covert world of the XYZ program, a little-known black bag FBI operations of counter-spying and assassinations. Here, Jack is taken under the wing of the sly yet cynical Jillian Harper, who seems to have a different agenda in mind...
The program faces its biggest crisis: a U.S. nuclear test bomb has gone missing and a double agent is among them who will stop at nothing to make sure Jack is dead. Jack begins to learn to ropes of his father’s trade, the elusive nature of his mentor, and the grim realities of this program. Can Jack help track down a bomb in time, outsmart his mentor and manage to stay alive?

I'm having a problem with DeviantArt Prints. I love their glossy prints that I've seen in conventions, but after a LONG correspondence from them (since December) none of us can seem to find a way to make my prints come out right (I'm putting my source images at 4800 pixels wide using their provided templates) and the lineart on my prints at 8x12 comes out jagged. (when I test this on my own home printer, they come out fine).
I've have been repetitively suggesting to them that "maybe this has do do with the "crop to fit", or "%5 margin option" on the "Adjust Image" window or maybe my source images at 4800x pixels are just too big. Time and time again they're not answering any of my technical questions of HOW they print their prints and what their printing process is. After two months waiting for them to do a test reprint, I've got the images back and viola! They haven't improved (I kept one of my old prints for comparison and they're identical).
I feel like I'm talking to a wall when it comes to getting answers. I won't get responses from these guys until a month later so does anyone have any idea fixing a resize problem like this? I'm reluctant to shell out more money just to do some test printing of my own (like resizing my source images) when this should be the lab's job.
I should note that one of my prints at 8x10 came out gorgeous, the line art just the way its supposed to be. I know there's a way to fix this, and I need this to be resolved before convention time.
